Petunia's story
Meet our floppy eared princess, Petunia!
Petunia is our cutie 5 year old, female, Dachshund and terrier mix who was rescued with her daughter Poppy from Mexico. She is under treatment for tummy worms(preventative) and tick borne disease which will resolve with her 30 day dose of medication. She will be fixed soon and ready to roll! Petunia is working well with bathroom training and already knows how to walk on a leash. Positive reinforcement works great on her with food and definitely is helpful to teach her to go outside.
Petunia is a very calm and sweet dog who thrives on attention! She can be a floppy, playful pup when happy and high on energy, and a nice gentle dog when it's time to settle down. She will ask for it if she feels that her foster sibling is getting more petting, but she will never bark! She is not into toys yet, but LOVES food and treats, except peanut butter. She is a travel buddy and a perfect date in the car while her foster mom runs errands and gets coffee. She simply wants to cuddle while hanging out, but will go sleep independently on her bed. Petunia is dog friendly but maintains her personal space with impeccable manners. Petunia is good around all people and kids.
This girl will do very well in any home that gives her all the time, love and attention she truly deserves! She will make any family very happy and may settle well with another dog. Someone who is home through the day will be preferred for her.  Her adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying, shots and microchip.
