Update: Ollivander has been living it up in his foster home, showing all his personality and funny faces. He is an absolutely lover; his favorite thing to do is be carried around like a baby. He is happy to entertain himself with a bone and plays nicely with his canine foster siblings. He has ventured out to dog-friendly restaurants and quietly sits in a lap all night. He is house trained. His biggest request for his forever family is to let him sleep under the covers at night. He loves to burrow and snuggle! Our sweet little Ollivander was named after Ollivander the wandmaker in the Harry Potter series ? and both are rather intelligent, deep thinkers. There is a lot more to this 10 pound scruffy little boy than meets the eye! Ollivander is very engaging and seems wise beyond his years (he is estimated to be around 2 years old). When you spend time with him, you will see what we mean when we say he seems to be able to understand you on a deeper level. He is very polite about climbing up on your knee to get a petting ? he won?t insist himself upon you and will slowly move himself closer while gaging your reaction. You can?t help but give in to his big Chihuahua eyes, especially because he is really great at maintaining eye contact. In fact, he will stay focused on you even while other pups are running and around participating in their play yard shenanigans. We rescued Ollivander and his Harry Potter friends from Kern County Animal Control in mid-August, and his new playmates and roommates at TBL include Fawkes and Dobby (both smaller dogs like himself).
